A time for a change?
Having played CS/CSS since 2000 I have been Oldnslo with a few clan tags in front. But having come to this server many months ago and then accepting an invitation to join the clan where "THE REAL" OldandSlow resides was a surprise.
He is a little quicker than me, truly great back-up and all around good guy. I therefore have decided to deferr the OldnslO/OldandSlow name to him and search for a new "handle" for myself. I have no problems with doing this and the same with Angel's comments (ouch).
The reason I have posted this in the forums as I would like to open this up to everyone in the clan and request possible names you folks feel represents my play for an old guy. I don't do too bad for an "Old" guy but too make it interesting (maybe) I'd like to have all of your imput as to a new name.
One thing I ask. I am serious about this and expect serious replies and suggestions. It's not easy giving up a name you've had for 8 years but I feel this is the proper thing to do.
Mortal Angels comment struck home with me and my days in the military (1968-1970 - I was a Crewchief on a UH-1D Huey) has taught me that the team is more important than the individual and I have lived my life with this understanding. That applies on our servers where teamwork is the key to kickin' some T butt. Having a few ladies around also helps!!!!!
I can't tell all of you how much I enjoy playing CSS with the members of cOd as I have had more fun in the last year playing with our clanmates than the previous 7 years with other clans. Before finding your serving I had almost quit playing. But the "folks" here are the greatest and some of the funniest things go on among us which just makes my day. I look forward to playing every night I can because of the cOd members and our reg's.
So, now all I need is a new name. So what do you folks think. Think of some good ones. I thought about "The Undertaker" as i spend a lot of time "under" but I want to know what everyone else thinks.
